Arte Que Happens is pleased to release the 2nd episode of the first season of the new podcast “Conversas que Happen”!

Recent lynching events and attempts to close exhibitions have invaded the Visual Arts field in Brazil in recent years. Mediated by the journalist Beta Germano, this 2nd episode discusses the relationship between art and politics and the different ways in which censorship can be exercised over the territory of arts and culture. To talk about the subject, curator Luisa Duarte, author of the book “Arte, Censura, Liberdade”, and curator Paulo Myiada, who was in charge of the exhibition “AI-5 50 Years: Still Not Finished to End“, presented at the Instituto Tomie Ohtake, in 2018, talked about this topic.
