We invite the artist from Rio Elian Almeida to share his favorite songs that accompany him in his work routine and the result was around 3 hours of contagious sound.
Despite also unfolding his investigations in the convergence of different languages, such as photography, video, installation, Elian became very popular for his productions in figurative paintings, which emerge from a generation that demands the protagonism of marginalized people in our society and, consequently, in the tradition of art. Therefore, it is no coincidence – even if it is naturally and spontaneously – that the playlist that never leaves your ears also brings the spotlight to black singers.
The artist, who has previously studied music, comments that he considers music one of the pillars of his creative process and that he usually creates different playlists for each occasion in his life, including his solo exhibitions. According to him, this selection of songs is not restricted to his studio, but accompanies him on a daily basis, and is therefore a mix of styles that reflect the effervescence of his creative mind.
