Pinacoteca invites you to a special program that accompanies the exhibition We are Muit+s: experiments on collectivity🇧🇷 The show, on display until October 28, 2019, investigates artistic practice as a collective exercise based on experiences conceived as dialogues, direct or indirect, with the production of Joseph Beuys and Hélio Oiticica, two of the most important artists of the second half of the In addition to them, six other national and international artists/collectives participate: Maurício Ianês, Mônica Nador + JAMAC, Coletivo Legítima Defesa, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Tania Bruguera and Vivian Caccuri.


September 18th | Wednesday
3 pm to 6 pm: Povo na Pina – Ponto Firme [Activations in the Octagon]

In partnership with Casa do Povo, the project proposes the construction of large crochet structures using mainly materials discarded by the Pinacoteca itself. The workshop is led by designer and craftsman Gustavo Silvestre with the participation of former students and former students of Ponto Firme, a project that has been taking crochet classes inside a male penitentiary for four years. Open to the public and visitors of all ages.


September 19th | Thursday
10 am to 1 pm: Corpos em Luz Project – Instituto Olga Kos [Activations in the Octagon]

An institution founded for the development of artistic and sports projects to serve children, young people and adults with intellectual disabilities, it presents a project that proposes a study and practice of dance based on the parangolés, by Hélio Oiticica.

11 am to 1 pm: NAE – Slam: Words and bodies that disobey [Tania Bruguera – Escola de Arte Útil]
The meeting addresses marginal-peripheral literature from the perspective of aesthetics present in slams (poetry battles created in the 1980s), bringing a current panorama of oral poetry that manifests itself in this context. With Midria da Silva Pereira. On-site registration. 25 vacancies.

3 pm to 6 pm – Class-workshop, with María Eugenia Cordero – Barda del Desierto, Argentina [Tania Bruguera – Escola de Arte Útil]

September 20th | Friday
2pm to 3:30pm: Book Launch Life trajectories: women of Light [Activations in the Octagon]

The publication, organized by Cleone Santos, from the NGO Associação Agentes da Cidadania, brings together reports from nine women in prostitution who occupy Parque da Luz. There will be a conversation wheel with four participants. 25 places.

September 21 | Saturday
11:00 to 12:00: Launch of the Book Around with Lautréamont by Laymert Garcia dos Santos [Activations in the Octagon]

Launch of the book published by N+1 publishing house, conversation with the author and reading of excerpts from The Songs of Maldoror, by Lautréamont, by Nereu Santos.

 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm: Freaking Cornucopia Show [Octagon Activations]

Musical group of wind and percussion instruments inspired by the cultural diversity present in the city of São Paulo, presents a repertoire that covers well-known genres of Brazilian music such as carimbó, forró, samba, axé, funk and brega in celebration of the arrival of spring.

September 22 | Sunday
11:00 to 12:00: Povo na Pina – Coral Tradição [Activations in the Octagon]

Coral Tradição sings exclusively in the Yiddish language and develops its activities at Casa do Povo since 1988. Conducted by maestrina Hugueta Sendacz, the Coral's repertoire is composed of folk and popular songs. Its aim is to preserve songs and other cultural values created in Yiddish to pass them on to new generations.

2 pm to 6 pm: Povo na Pina – Ateliê Vivo [Activations in the Octagon]

Organized by Casa do Povo, the meeting proposes that participants take pieces of clothing and fabrics that can be cut to serve as raw material for the construction of the panel whose theme will be “What is a collective for you today?”. People's clothes and fabrics will mix and together, with hand sewing and embroidery, the group will make a textile collage.

September 23 | Monday
5:00 pm to 6:00 pm: Meditation-focused Hatha Yoga class [Activations in the Octagon]
