Whitney Receives Roy Lichtenstein Foundation Collection

O Whitney Museum of American Art announced today that it has received an incredible donation of over 400 works by Roy Lichtenstein (1923–1997). The museum and the Roy Lichtenstein Foundation have entered into a partnership that makes the Whitney the center for a Lichtenstein “fellowship”, with the creation of the “Roy Lichtenstein Study Collection”. With this donation, the Whitney will have the largest collection of works by the artist in the world.
