34th Bienal de São Paulo will have conversations with artists

The 34th Bienal de São Paulo is expected to start earlier than the event's traditional calendar (generally in September). The exhibition has already initiated several international activities that have presented the curatorial concept in international contexts. Now, thinking about the project in an expanded way, on the 9th and 12th of November, at the Oswald de Andrade Cultural Workshop, in São Paulo, meetings with the artists Philipp Fleischmann and Beatriz Santiago Muñoz, who will participate in the collective at the Bienal pavilion in 2020 .

Open conversation with Philipp Fleischmann

Philipp Fleischmann (b. 1985, Hollabrunn, Austria) creates works between the fields of visual arts and cinema. He develops research around analogue film and creates, for each film, site-specific camera configurations so that the filming material is related to the subject of the recording. Fleischmann will create an unprecedented work for the 34th Bienal, based on the architecture of the Bienal Pavilion.
Open conversation with Beatriz Santiago Muñoz

Beatriz Santiago Muñoz (b. 1972, San Juan, Puerto Rico) works mainly with video and is influenced by Theater of the Oppressed, experimental ethnography and feminist theories. Her process incorporates improvisation and she does not invite actors to be the protagonists of her works. His recent production addresses the themes of the unconscious and anti-colonial movements.
