36th Panorama of Brazilian Art will be curated by Júlia Rebouças

In the second half of 2019, between 08/17 and 11/15, MAM São Paulo will hold its traditional biennial exhibition: the Panorama of Brazilian Art. curated by julia Rebouças, the project has as its starting point the term “sertão” to think about artistic practices that are not associated with a geographic region, but with processes that understand art as an instance of experimentation and resistance. The research includes an investigation of several cities in Brazil, which will result in the presentation of unpublished works or commissioned especially for the 36th Panorama, bringing a reading of the current state of art in Brazil.
