Exhibition of “Swinguerra” at the Bienal Pavilion

Estimated reading time: < 1 minute

The documentary-musical work by the artists Bárbara Wagner & Benjamin de Burca, commissioned by the Bienal Foundation to represent Brazil at the 58th Venice Biennale, will have free sessions next Saturday, August 24, at the Bienal Pavilion, Ibirapuera Park.

A public and critical success, the film swing war accompanies three dance groups from the outskirts of Recife and presents a complex and empathetic portrait of Brazil. Curated by Gabriel Pérez-Barreiro, its title is inspired by swingueira, a popular dance movement from northeastern Brazil, fused with the word war.

Motivated by the commitment to the democratization of access to art and by the enormous repercussion of the project in Italy, this event is a way of sharing the international projects of the Fundação Bienal with the public in Brazil and São Paulo.
