Artist and poet John Giorno dies

Poet and performance artist John Giorno, known for having starred in Andy Warhol's iconic silent film (Sleep, 1963), passed away last weekend at the age of 82. Throughout his career, Girono explored and annihilated the boundaries and barriers between art and writing, which led him to perform his poems and collaborate with other important names in contemporary art such as John Cage, Jasper Johns, Robert Rauschenberg, Trisha Brown and Carolee Schneeman.
