Top 20: unmissable works from the Masp collection

Henri Matisse, The Plaster Torso, (1919)

We always publish here the best temporary exhibitions at Masp, but it is worth noting that the museum has a valuable collection with iconic works such as “Pink and Blue – The Cahen d'Anvers Girls”, painted by Pierre-Auguste Renoir in 1881, to works by artists contemporaries such as Jaime Lauriano and Dalton de Paula.

There is still no forecast for the opening of museums in Brazil – studies indicate that it will only be at the end of the year – but Masp has an intense and very interesting program online. And MASP Audios, a free application available for download at app store and not Google Play, brings together around 170 comments made by curators, artists, teachers, researchers and children on the most iconic works in the collection. There is also the project “Dialogues in the collection” on the museum’s Instagram, in which followers are introduced to works from the collection through elements that make up each work, such as the artist’s biography, technique and historical context. On Wednesday, the 20th, at 4 pm, the work “Zeferina” by Dalton Paula will be discussed.
