Pavilion of Brazilian Cultures, Sao Paulo

An art fair with an innovative curatorial concept, surrounded by cultural events on all sides. The Art Week occupies the Pavilhão das Culturas Brasileiras in Ibirapuera Park (São Paulo), proposing to celebrate, discuss and expand a market that has been growing in a unique way in recent years, in the city that has consolidated itself as its epicenter. The Week presents a series of exclusive performances of scenic arts, music, dance, cinema and literature spread across different spaces, goes through a cycle of debates with international guests, through a series of architectural tours, and culminates in the fair itself, which will bring together a select team of galleries from Brazil and the world.

Among the stands at the Art Week, the following stand out: Casa Triângulo – Ascânio MMM and Darío Escobar; Bergamin & Gomide – Oswaldo Goeldi; Celma Albuquerque Art Gallery – Leda Catunda; Central Gallery – Mano Penalva; Jaqueline Martins Gallery – Martha Araujo and Ana Mazzei; Luisa Strina – Fernanda Gomes; Marcelo Guarnieri Gallery – Pierre Verger and Liuba; Marília Razuk Gallery – Amílcar de Castro; Millan Gallery – Ana Prata + Tunga, together with Galleria Franco Noero, from Turin, and Luhring Augustine, from New York; Nara Roesler Gallery – Julio Le Parc and José Patrício; Galeria Vermelho – Marcelo Cidade; Portas Vilaseca Gallery – Ayrson Heráclito; Sé Gallery – Dalton Paula.

Semana de Arte also presents, in partnership with the Pavilhão das Culturas Brasileiras, an exhibition with part of the institution's rich collection, with works by some of the great names of Brazilian visual arts from different regions of the country, such as Amadeo Lorenzato, Chico da Silva , Antônio Poteiro, Chico Tabibuia, GTO, Alcides, Antonio de Dedé and Resendio. There will also be a program of documentaries, tours of architectural landmarks in São Paulo guided by the architect Aieto Manetti, as well as meetings and lectures to discuss art in a broader and more complete way.
